Position Description

Location : Metro Manila, Philippines (Hybrid)

Employment Type : Full-time

Working Hours : 10 PM - 7AM

Salary : PHP 70,000 – 120,000/month (depending on experience)

ByteBridge is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and delivery of mission-critical data center and commercial infrastructure projects for our US operations. In this role, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team to develop mechanical building services designs from concept through construction documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable US codes, client requirements, and industry best practices.

This position offers the opportunity to work on large-scale international projects while collaborating with experienced engineers across multiple disciplines and gaining exposure to US engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design mechanical building systems for mission-critical facilities, including HVAC, chilled water, ventilation, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Perform engineering calculations, equipment sizing, load calculations, and system analysis.
  • Prepare mechanical engineering drawings, specifications, schedules, and construction documentation using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Coordinate mechanical designs with electrical, civil, structural, and architectural disciplines throughout all phases of project delivery.
  • Participate in schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and engineering coordination meetings.
  • Review project specifications, equipment submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings to ensure design intent is maintained.
  • Support engineering teams during construction, commissioning, and project closeout activities as required.
  • Participate in internal QA/QC reviews to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and quality of engineering deliverables.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable US codes, client standards, and industry best practices.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and sustainable engineering practices related to mission-critical facilities.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3–7 years of experience in mechanical building services or MEP consulting.
  • Experience designing HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, healthcare, mission-critical, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Experience performing cooling load calculations and mechanical equipment selection.
  • Working knowledge of ASHRAE standards and applicable US mechanical design codes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and international project teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting US-based engineering projects.
  • Experience with data center, mission-critical, or high-tech facilities.
  • Knowledge of energy-efficient HVAC system design and sustainable engineering practices.
  • Experience using HAP, Trace 700, IES VE, or similar HVAC design software.
  • Familiarity with BIM workflows and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM 360.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is an advantage but not required.
