Network Operations Technician (NOT)

ByteBridge is hiring Network Operations Technicians (NOT) to support the installation, monitoring, and maintenance of network infrastructure within data center environments. This role is responsible for ensuring reliable network connectivity, supporting vendor activities, and assisting with network troubleshooting and operations. You will work closely with network engineers, operations teams, and external vendors to ensure that network infrastructure operates reliably and complies with operational standards.
- Network Operations & Support
- Monitor and maintain data center network infrastructure including switches, routers, and fiber connectivity
- Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues and escalate when necessary
- Assist with network upgrades, configuration updates, and troubleshooting activities
- Support network preventive inspections to reduce downtime and operational risks
- Vendor Supervision & Project Support
- Supervise vendors during fiber deployment, installation, or maintenance work
- Monitor vendor activities to ensure compliance with technical standards and project timelines
- Provide updates on project progress and highlight operational risks when required
- Support site surveys and preparation for network deployment or upgrades
- Incident Response & Monitoring
- Monitor network alerts and respond promptly to incidents or alarms
- Provide first-level response and updates to network engineering teams
- Escalate issues in accordance with operational procedures
- Operational Compliance & Documentation
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Method of Procedures (MOP)
- Maintain accurate records of network activities, incidents, and maintenance work
- Support reporting and documentation for operational and compliance requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Network Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, or related field
- Experience in network operations, telecommunications, or data center environments
- Basic knowledge of network infrastructure, switches, routers, fiber connectivity, and structured cabling
- Ability to read basic network diagrams and technical documentation
- Good communication and coordination skills with the ability to work in 24x7 shift environments
- Experience supporting data center network environments
- Familiarity with fiber optic infrastructure and telecom deployments
- Knowledge of network monitoring tools and incident management processes
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking certifications
- Ability to travel between multiple data center sites when required
- Ability to work in environments requiring PPE and safety compliance
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow operational procedures
