Position Overview
The Server Delivery Technician supports server deployment and delivery activities within the data center. The role involves coordinating vendor activities, verifying equipment installation, and ensuring server deployment follows operational and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and support daily server delivery and deployment activities
- Escort and supervise vendors performing installation work in the data hall
- Inspect server installations including rack mounting, cabling, and labeling
- Verify hardware delivery against inventory and documentation
- Conduct data hall inspections to identify risks or irregularities
- Provide remote hands support and basic troubleshooting when required
- Maintain daily activity reports and deployment progress updates
- Ensure compliance with site safety and operational procedures
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in IT, Engineering, or related field
- Experience in data center operations, hardware deployment, or IT support
- Basic knowledge of servers, cabling, and data center infrastructure
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced data center environment
