Position Overview
ByteBridge Technology is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabling Technician to support structured cabling activities within data center environments. The ideal candidate has experience in installing, labeling, and maintaining network cabling infrastructure, ensuring high performance and reliability for mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structured cabling installation including copper (Cat6, Cat6A) and fiber optic systems.
- Route and secure cables through trays, ladders, conduits, and other pathways following data center standards.
- Conduct cable terminations, labeling, and testing to ensure quality and compliance with TIA/EIA standards.
- Assist in racking, stacking, and patching network and server equipment as required.
- Troubleshoot and repair cabling issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate documentation of cable layouts, labeling, and test results.
- Follow site safety protocols and ensure work areas are maintained in a clean and organized manner.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, field engineers, and other onsite teams during installations and maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or equivalent technical certification in IT, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in data center or commercial structured cabling work.
- Strong understanding of fiber and copper cabling standards and color codes.
- Familiar with tools and test equipment such as OTDRs, Fluke testers, and fiber scopes.
- Able to interpret drawings, cable schedules, and layout diagrams.
- Physically fit to perform manual work including lifting and working in confined spaces.
- Basic English communication; proficiency in Korean required.
Preferred Skills
- BICSI or equivalent cabling certification.
- Knowledge of data center operations or construction environment.
- Experience supporting global technology clients or multi-site environments.
