Position Description
Location: Rayong, Thailand
Company Introduction
Byte Bridge Technology (BPO Project) is hiring Data Center Technicians (DCT) to support data center operations for a global technology client.
Position Overview
This role is responsible for maintaining the reliability and availability of critical infrastructure including servers, networking equipment, and storage systems.
You will perform hardware installation, troubleshooting, and operational support within a high-availability data center environment while ensuring adherence to operational procedures and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Center Operations
- Perform break-fix maintenance on servers, networking, and storage equipment
- Install, configure, and test hardware components within the data center environment
- Troubleshoot hardware, network, and connectivity issues in a timely manner
- Perform rack and stack installation of servers and network devices
- Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections to ensure system reliability
- Monitoring & Incident Response
- Monitor infrastructure and respond promptly to alerts and incidents
- Support 24x7 data center operations, including shift work when required
- Escalate incidents and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, maintenance activities, and operational updates
- Operational Compliance
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Method of Procedures (MOP)
- Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and security standards
- Maintain accurate asset inventory and equipment records
- Support audits, operational reporting, and documentation requirements
- Project Support
- Assist with data center migrations, hardware deployments, and infrastructure upgrades
- Support capacity expansion and hardware refresh projects when required
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or related field
- Experience working in data center operations, IT infrastructure, or hardware support environments
- Hands-on experience with server hardware, networking equipment, and rack installations
- Experience performing hardware break-fix activities (RAM, HDD/SSD, PSU replacement, etc.)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (switches, routers, cabling)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in 24x7 shift-based environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in large-scale data center environments
- Knowledge of structured cabling and fiber connectivity
- Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA, or equivalent IT certifications
- Experience supporting data center migrations or infrastructure deployments
