Product Lifecycle Management Specialist

The PLM Specialist manages the product life cycle of Data Center items across various suppliers, ensuring product data accuracy, timely processing of PCNs/EOLs, and communication of lifecycle updates to customers and internal teams. This role serves as the main point of contact with manufacturers (MFGs) to verify lifecycle status, identify replacement parts, and ensure smooth part number transitions in our system. This is a supply-chain-driven PLM role, not R&D PLM. The specialist ensures lifecycle accuracy, supports PCN/EOL transitions, and works closely with MFG contacts to keep product data aligned with real-world manufacturing updates.
- Review and process Product Change Notifications (PCNs) and End of Life (EOL) notices from MFGs.
- Communicate directly with manufacturers to confirm product lifecycle status and validate replacement parts.
- Maintain item master data and lifecycle attributes (Active/NRND/EOL / Obsolete) in ERP.
- Cross-check datasheets to confirm form-fit-function compatibility for replacement items.
- Work closely with sales and sourcing teams to provide updated lifecycle and risk visibility.
- Track and document all lifecycle updates and changes in centralized records
- Generate lifecycle and replacement reports for internal and customer use.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, or Engineering (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in product lifecycle, supply chain, or vendor coordination.
- Basic technical knowledge to read and compare component datasheets.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with MFGs and internal cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in managing multiple SKUs and lifecycle updates.
