Director of Engineering (Network & Security)
Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Director of Engineering specializing in Network & Security. In this key leadership role, you will lead our efforts in designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge network and security solutions.
Essential Functions
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for the Network & Security engineering team aligned with overall company objectives. Provide visionary leadership to drive technical innovation in network architecture and security protocols.
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable and reliable network infrastructure. Ensure the optimization of network performance, reliability, and security.
- Oversee the development and implementation of robust security solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, software engineering, and operations, to integrate network and security components seamlessly.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in network and security. Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance the company’s network infrastructure and security posture.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Conduct regular performance assessments, identify skill gaps, and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities.
- Manage budgetary considerations, resource allocation, and project timelines to ensure the successful and timely delivery of network and security projects. Optimize resource utilization for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing network and security engineering teams.
- Strong technical expertise in network infrastructure design, security protocols, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Good to have Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCNP, or equivalent.
